The Problem We Created

Have we ever felt like we are sinking in the water of problems of our very lives? As if we are drowning and even barely breathing. We are like that coin being thrown in the water and just keep on getting sinking. We even imagined our past that keeps on reminding us that we are a failure. We are losers and we will never ever float from our problems. We have prayed and prayed but nothing happened. We just keep on getting below that drastic waters of difficulty. We experienced total hardships in life but seemed not enough. Then, we questioned God.

We start complaining about the things that we wanted yet never had. We argue our rights and what we believe in. We even told Him that He does not know everything we have been through. We sounded even more than Him. We act as if we are wiser than of His own thinking. We also thought that we should be the ones writing our own story because we know how to do, act, and even make it to reality. Many explanations yet nonsense justifications. We thought we can live apart from Him. We reasoned out things at our own expense as if we are the only ones living on this planet. We always pondered that good is something pleasant and provides pleasure and help for us while evil is something purely bad that can cause problems against us. But by all means, we never honestly understood that the devastations that have been brought upon us are sometimes ways for us to know Him. We always blame God for every bad thing that is happening now like this pandemic yet, we never even try to consult Him about how He sees things. We judged directly only to the superficial flow of events and not unto something higher we could possibly find.

In our daily lives, we even decided that someone is bad for the reasons for the color of their skin, differences, actions, natures, how they project themselves, and even because of their parents' mistakes. We are justifying everything for our own sake without even asking the people if it is okay with them. We are more than the Judge, sitting in His throne of justice and kindness. And also, because of the excess knowledge and wisdom we have, we try to disprove His actual existence. His very presence which is seen on the distinct creatures He has created. The exact creatures that He made to dominate the world and do the good works He had prepared. And yes, we are the creatures He created from the remarkable foundations of the heavens and earth. We are the ones responsible to let His goodness flows to all creations.

We are not legitimizing things here that bad things happen because God is the one orchestrating it to. The one responsible for it is the one being thrown away from heaven. The one who has a different will because of pride in his heart. It is not God. What we wanted to clear is that God, although letting problems happen, is in control. He is a sovereign Lord who had done all things. That even in the midst of the pernicious situation, God can make something good.

He just wants us to know that He is good and we do not need to understand things. We only need to have a leap of faith and a heart full of trust in His ways. We should not let our problems change us instead, let us humbly come to God through Christ Jesus to change us using these troubles. As it is said, "come and I will give you rest."

Have we felt the same way too?
